His research interests focus on the synthesis and characterization of molecular materials and specifically on the following topics:
- Carbon dots and fluorescent inks and filaments
- Production of graphene-based conductive inks and pastes for printed electronics
- Hybrid materials based on carbon nanostructures (graphene, fullerene, porous carbon structures) for gas storage, optoelectronic and environmental applications
- 2D materials and low-dimensional semiconducting systems
- Development and functionalization of synthetic porous silica materials, periodic nanoporous organosilicates, synthetic zeolites and phyllomorphous materials for catalytic and environmental applications
