Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στη σύνθεση και το χαρακτηρισμό μοριακών υλικών και ειδικότερα στα εξής πεδία:

  • Κβαντικές ψηφίδες άνθρακα και φωτοφωταυγή μελάνια και νήματα
  • Παρασκευή αγώγιμων μελανιών και παστών γραφενίου για εκτυπωμένα ηλεκτρονικά
  • Υβριδικά υλικά με νανοδομές άνθρακα (γραφένιο, φουλερένια, πορώδεις δομές άνθρακα) για αποθήκευση αερίων, οπτοηλεκτρονικές και περιβαλλοντικές εφαρμογές
  • Δισδιάστατα υλικά και χαμηλοδιάστατα ημιαγώγιμα συστήματα
  • Ανάπτυξη και τροποποίηση συνθετικών πυριτικών πορωδών υλικών, περιοδικών οργανοπυριτικών νανοπορωδών υλικών, συνθετικών ζεολίθων και φυλλόμορφων υλικών για καταλυτικές και περιβαλλοντικές εφαρμογές
